Computerized oncology treatment prescriptionThe OncoPlan prescription module represents the driving force through the delivery of care. It is available to care coordinators as the “hub” into which information flows and orders are initiated. Physicians and others use OncoPlan to review pertinent aspects of patients’ care and then issue orders for treatment, including chemotherapeutic, adjuvant and supportive therapy. It uses a computer-aided process that ensures the automated management of therapy, based upon protocol parameters. OncoPlan is fully integrated with the other modules, allowing caregivers to investigate and manage any aspect of care and ensure complete, timely and accurate execution of the care plan. Even for complex treatments, the ordering of drug and other therapies has never been safer, simpler, or more intuitive, and efficient. Orders processed by OncoPlan are automatically routed to the assigned preparation area, either to the pharmacy or patient care area, by the intelligent requests of OncoRoute, an automated order routing program. |
